演讲者简介：

魏磊，新加坡南洋理工大学电气与电子工程系副教授。2005年本科毕业于武汉理工大学，2011年博士毕业于丹麦科技大学，2010-2014年在美国麻省理工学院进行博士后研究，2014年加入新加坡南洋理工大学电气与电子工程系任南洋助理教授，2019年任副教授，2018年起任新加坡南洋理工大学光纤技术研究中心主任。主要从事基于纤维的光电子器件，复合材料纤维，生物光纤交互和纤维内能量的产生和收集等方面的研究。在Nature、Nature Biotechnology、Nature Photonics、Advanced Materials 和 Nature Communications等学术期刊上发表论文80多篇。

讲座摘要：

Integration of materials with disparate electrical, optical, thermal, or mechanical properties into a single fiber with complex architecture and diverse functionalities presents new opportunities for engaging fiber applications spanning smart and flexible electronics, nanorobotics, next generation of sensors and transducers, biomedical diagnosis, and prosthetics. In this talk, I will report the recent development of advanced functional fibers. Especially, the integration of semiconductor materials into fiber geometries provides a unique route to achieve fiber-level optoelectronic and thermoelectric integration, as well as in-fiber material engineering.
